recently i have encountered an alarming degree of selfishness: amongst acquaintances, colleagues, even my own friends.
i believe sometimes in order to get where we want to be, we need to be selfish in a non-malicious way, but in ways such as taking time out from people you love and care about in order to realise your full potential, or even just to re-charge.
a nice way of being selfish: declining an invite to stay home and punch out some z's/read a book
a nasty way of being selfish: making outlandish demands, demeaning other people to make youself look better, ditching your friends when you know you shouldnt.
so to the girl making my friends life hell at the moment, by means of selfishness- i say one thing:
